Inexperience took victory away from Netherlands, Pakistan victorious

Netherlands fell behind by 10 runs from Pakistan's target of 207.

In the third and final match in Rotterdam, the Pakistani team finally defeated the Netherlands.

Netherlands were 10 runs short of Pakistan's target of 207, otherwise the competition was well fought. Netherlands needed 14 runs from the last over but Mohammad Wasim bowled the last batsman Arin Dutt to dash all Orange's hopes. Coming close to defeat at the hands of a non-Test playing side, the victory has raised questions about the Pakistan team's performance as they face arch-rivals India seven days later, eager to avenge the last T20 World Cup. .

This decision of the Pakistan team apparently did not prove correct and all four changes could not leave their impact. Pakistan included Muhammad Haris in place of Muhammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafiq in place of Imamul Haq, Zahid Mehmood in place of Shadab Khan and Shahnawaz Dhirman in place of Haris Rauf. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat, which was a suitable batting pitch, but the Dutch bowlers used the double piece of the pitch well and did not allow the Pakistani batsmen to play openly. Abdullah Shafiq failed on debut and was bowled in the second over.

Captain Babar Azam once again batted well and played an innings of 91 runs. Fakhar Zaman scored 26 runs and Agha Salman got out after scoring 24 runs.

Mohammad Haris once again disappointed and was dismissed for just four runs. Babar Azam failed to complete his century and was caught out by Arian Dutt. In the end, Mohammad Nawaz and Wasim Jr struggled to bring the score to 206. Although the target of 207 for Netherlands was not difficult considering the first match, it is not easy to play against Pakistan's bowling. From the Netherlands, Vikramjeet Singh and Tom Cooper batted solidly and took the responsibility of guiding the team towards the target.

Although Pakistani bowlers Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Durmani and Wasim Junior bowled well and kept taking wickets at intervals, the Pakistani spinners disappointed. Nawaz and Zahid Mehmood failed to take wickets. Netherlands' Tom Cooper and Vikram Jeet scored half-centuries and chased the target well, but lack of experience sank the boat in the last minute. Wasim Jr ended the Netherlands' innings by bowling the last player, Dutt.

On behalf of Pakistan, Naseem Shah bowled well and dismissed five players while Wasim Jr. dismissed four players Pakistan have secured their third position in the ICC Super League by winning the series against Netherlands 0-3.
